Ava is not the conversationalist Cate was at this age. (Ava is our little engineer, but that's a story for another day.) She can say a fair number of words. She just chooses not to talk very much. A couple of weeks ago Dora was on TV and Ava was playing babies in the living room. I did not even realize she was paying that much attention to the TV. Dora said, "Say abaho" (which is down in Spanish, I think). And as she continued to blanket and feed her baby Ava said, "Abaho," just as plain as you please. The child may end up speaking more Spanish than English. OR she may just watch too much television...
