Last Day of School

Tuesday was Cate's last day of 2 year old preschool at First Methodist. She has had an excellent year, and we are thankful for her good teachers and classmates. These are her formative years, and even though we have had to do some schedule bending, it's been worth it to put her in an early learning environment. Her mind is active, and we can tell she has been challenged, and that she has learned a lot.

Chandler Brown (one of Cate's classmates, and also in our Sunday School class) had the class over to her house. It was neat to see Cate playing with her buddies. We rarely see her interacting in that environment. She loved riding in the pink caddy and was not hesitant to hop in the driver's seat even though she had no idea how to drive. She never quite mastered the steering, but that didn't hinder her or stop her friends from hopping in. I pray I don't find myself repeating that sentence 13 years from now.

Ms. Rachel and Ms. Debbie (her two outstanding teachers) took pictures throughout the year and sent them home in a folder. We can't believe how much Cate has grown. She's not a toddler anymore.
