I Don't Even Know What to Call This

I was tucking Ava in and she pulled me in really close to her face.

She whispers, "Mama. I need to tell you a secret."

"Oookaay."

Still in a whisper, "Mama, there were too many animals in the Bible, so I tore them out."

And she had. She had torn pages from her little picture Bible.

Wish lists

Santa should have it pretty easy at our house this year. Ava wants a Dora baby and "Slippers". Cate wants a Barbie and a pizza- well okay, he may have to get a little creative with that one.

Tangled

Saturday while the boys went to the Egg Bowl, Nana took us to the movies, Ava's first. Lori and Ashton met us there, which especially thrilled Cate. Nana got the jumbo popcorn for all 6 of us to share. Ava would not let anyone else hold it and kept telling Nana to "Stop eating all of my popcorn." The movie was actually pretty good. Cate already wants the Rapunzel princess costume, of course.

Disney Princesses on Ice

For an early Christmas surprise Grandmama got the girls tickets to see the Disney Princesses on Ice. They got to sit in the floor seats close to all the action. Cate talked about those princesses for days and said her favorite part was the end when they all danced together. Ava said her favorite part was "Grandmama, Mama Sue, and Ellen."

Me: "Ava just look at the camera and smile one time. PLEASE."
Ava: "No." (Pouty lip)

Thanksgiving Program- Cate

This was Cate's third year to be in the Thanksgiving program and she thought she was a pro. She kept their songs a big secret and did not want us to know what her costume was going to look like. She loved getting to paint her face and the fact that she and Ava both got to be Indians.

Thanksgiving Program- Ava

This was Ava's first year to be in the Thanksgiving program at the preschool. I had no idea what to expect, but she stood up there and sang and waved and had a great time. The next day we were running errands and she asked if we could go get another t-shirt to make another Indian costume so she could "do anotha pwo-gwam".
They sang "Five Little Hotdogs", "Ten Little Indians", and "Jesus Loves Me".
